The council is responsible for providing the Stratford Community with certain street furniture and amenities:

Grit Bin
Litter Bin
Dog litter bin
Bench
Bus shelter
Grit Salt Bin
Litter Bin
Dog Hygiene Bin
Bench
Bus Shelter

The Town Council has made it easier for the general public to request street furniture or amenities by including an on-line application form on its website The applicant can track the request on-line, following it through from the initial application, to its status following committee stage to the date of installation, if the amenity is approved. A request for an amenity automatically triggers a resident's consultation, and this too can be completed on-line, although Councillors personally deliver the survey to the households in the nearby vicinity and collect them too.

Requests for street furniture received from the general public will first be considered by the Lead Ward Members in March and September, with a recommendation brought to the General Purposes Committee in April and October.

To make and track a request go to the Local Amenities section by clicking here

CIVIL WEDDINGS AT THE TOWN HALL
The Town Hall, situated in the very heart of this delightful market town is a very beautiful building, housing not only the Town Council but providing a romantic venue for civil weddings.

This is indeed an impressive and memorable room to hold a civil ceremony. A red carpeted dais at one end of the room provides a focal point for the registrar to conduct the wedding and the room can be extended to incorporate the Committee Room which will allow for over 100 seated guests in theatre style.
